The Brother 2 Brother band is led by guitarists Brian and Paul Armistead, who’ve been in tune since birth. The brothers fell in love with guitars as teenagers, but it wasn’t until university that they discovered their passion for performing and playing live. And they’ve never looked back…

Since then, they’ve played with many great musicians, worked with name artists, recorded for TV and studio, toured, and performed on every kind of stage both at home and abroad.

Today, they continue to write, gig and collaborate as well as performing in the band they began 20 years ago as Brother 2 Brother.

What started life as a duo quickly earned a reputation in London and across the UK and now most commonly gigs as a 4-piece band, featuring the Armistead brothers’ ‘blood harmony’ vocals, two guitars, bass and drums.

Brian and Paul are joined on stage by renowned bassist Phil Cranham (since 2003) and the acclaimed drummer Paul Robinson (since 1996) – diaries permitting; if not, equally high calibre deps are available to the band.

Years of performing together give the band a tight sound and an unspoken understanding, while their enthusiasm for playing live remains as infectious as the day they first met. Always on the look out for new material to perform the brothers’ repertoire is varied and extensive ranging across many styles.

The 4-piece band can be increased to a 5-piece with the addition of a sax player.

Brian and Paul also continue to perform as a duo, providing a ‘full band sound’ using personally prepared backing tracks they created for their needs.
